Manitoba HPV Disease Prevention Secretariat


The Secretariat was originally funded through the Province of Manitoba, Department of Innovation, Energy and Mines, and continues its work through project funding and contribution agreements.

Goals:

Encourage coordination and communication between different organizations and disciplines involved in the various aspects of the prevention of HPV and its consequences in Manitoba (public, private, academic sectors)
Promote Manitoba’s contribution in the Canadian effort to optimize HPV disease prevention
Increase Manitoba’s competitiveness in attracting local, national, and international HPV research to Manitoba using the linked databases and other expertise in this Province
Build Manitoba’s capacity for future HPV vaccine clinical trials by demonstrating its competitive advance
Research and pilot innovative strategies to screen for and prevent HPV-related diseases in Manitobans
